STARBUCKS STEALS TIPS

So the managers/supervisors at ALL the California Starbucks were taking tips that they shouldn't have. Wow!

It seems that there is a California law that states managers/supervisors cannot take any part of the tips made by it's employees.

Starbucks seems to think they are above the law and have been giving the managers a piece of the action. Ouch! I never would have tipped, had I known that. I would have handed it to the employee instead of putting it in the jar.

The San Diego, California court ruled in favor of the employees and estimated that $86m was taken when it shouldn't have been. This class action lawsuit accounts for about 100,000 employees. The judge was even nice enough to tack on interest making the judgment a $100m payout.

Here is a tip for you, Starbucks. Go back to worrying about the customer and stop charging $15 for those music CDs in cardboard jewel cases.
