LENSCRAFTERS NIGHTMARE

The following is a letter I just faxed to my credit card company disputing my purchase at Lenscrafters:

Re: Lenscrafters Dispute

April 12, 2008

Dear Credit Card Company:

We went to Lenscrafters on 2/7/08. We purchased glasses for my son and also a sports pair of glasses so he could play baseball.

Over the next few weeks the lens kept popping out of his glasses. So on 2/29/08 we demanded another frame and new lenses. They let us choose new frames and new lenses and made the next pair of glasses within days.

Then on 4/4/08 my son was complaining of shakey vision and eyes were hurting him.

On 4/7/08 I took both pairs of glasses to my eye Dr. to examine the lenses. He said that this was the worst job he had every seen. My Dr. said Lenscrafters had the wrong axis, Pupil distance, prescriptions, and prism.

On 4/12/08 I went to Lenscrafters demanding a full refund. They said that my 30 days had passed. I told them that my 30 days could not have passed since you have never given me a working pair of glasses.

They refused to give me a refund and now I am disputing this charge.

I have attached the following documents as back up to my case.

1. copy of my original receipt.
2. copy of the trade in for new glasses receipt
3. copy of notes from my Dr. commenting on what is wrong with the glasses and a second note from my Dr. commenting on what is wrong with the sports glasses.

The person we spoke to at Lenscrafters was Monty Yip who is the General Manager in the Anaheim, CA office 714.995.0312. He swore the prescription was correct and refused to give me back my money. He said it was company policy.

Sincerely,
Me
